    Edit on 12/13/14 - SOLD!

    Hi all!

I'm selling my Appradio 3, SPH-DA110, with custom harness. The radio was only installed so I can test and help develop an app that connects to the Appradio over Bluetooth. It was installed for only 3 days. Otherwise, it is brand new.

I made the harness to fit my Tacoma, 2012. It is completely plug and play. Everything works! The steering controls work, etc... The harness is soldered and shrink-wrapped. You will not need to cut any wires at all. You simply take out the old radio and plug the new one in. That's it!

The cheapest Pioneer SPH-DA110 you can get on ebay is $360.00 used. This one has only been "used" (basically installed, tested for 3 days and removed) for 3 days + it comes with a plug and play harness with all the goodies.

    $500.00 Shipped.

Here is a list of what you get:

Virtually new Appradio 3 (SPH-DA110) in the box with all it comes with.
Axxess ASWC-1 Programmable Steering Wheel Control (already setup)
Metra 70-1761 Harness (already soldered and shrink-wrapped)
Metra 70-8114 Harness (already soldered and shrink-wrapped)
TO-O6 - Antenna Adapter - 2013 and above will need this
    Metra 95-8235CHG Dash Kit
MicroBypass Video In Motion Interface - Parking Brake Bypass

Everything has already been soldered and shrink-wrapped to the radio harness including the MicroBypass. I even added an additional USB power source to the harness in case you want to run power to something back there for the HDMI (I was using a Chromecast) and you can still use the radio's USB for whatever you want.

The only thing you will need to do is tie in the reverse signal if you're going to use the backup camera. The radio mic was cut during the take down but, I repaired it, soldered and shrink-wrapped and tested it. I guarantee it works. That's it.

Crutchfield sells a wiring kit similar to this but, without the programmable steering wheel control, without additional USB, without the parking brake bypass and without the soldering to the radio's harness for $150.00. ;) Look here: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_249TY61N/Crux-SWRTY-61N-Wiring-Interface.html

Ok, I have to ask. Why did you go through all that work for the harness for three days then take it out?

Also if I don't have the camera, can it easily be added?

Edit.. Reading fail, I see you were testing an app.

Yeah, I was testing an automation protocol on android specifically designed to work with the Appradio. Since, I didn't have one, I thought it would be easier to just get one instead of emulating one.

Will it do everything you showed it does in the video but with an iPhone 6 instead of a Samsung Galaxy s5?

Very good job op. So what did you use to mirror the phone to the headunit? If you don't mind me asking. You can pm me so we don't clutter up your thread

Ok, to answer a few questions on here...

The Appradio as it comes will not do what I showed in the video.

In order for you to do that (use the Appradio as your phone's screen) you will need to do a few things.

The way I had it setup in a wireless config was done with a Google Chromecast plugged into the HDMI port. I was feeding power to the Chromecast via the additional USB port I added to the harness. I wanted to keep the USB port provided by the radio free and clear in case I wanted to use it for something else. Then, you'll need the app ARUR (it's $30.00 in the Google Play Store). Once you have that, you'll be able to do the same thing I did.

My phone was completely automated to start Chromecast screen casting, start ARUR, and start Nova Launcher (the resolution on the Appradio is better with Nova) when the Appradio's bluetooth was detected. I used the Tasker app to accomplish this. It's a no-brainer.

You could also run an HDMI cable from the back of the unit to your center console and plug an MHL adapter and do it wired but, wireless was so much cooler. ;)

Oh, yeah... You can mirror your display on an iPhone 6 but, I don't know how to use it as a touchscreen yet. Though, you can use Appradio Extensions which gives you lots of functionality.

    Cheers!

Edit: I forgot to mention that to use ARUR app, your Android phone needs to be rooted.

    Ok, so... it's been sold!

    Thanks everyone!

If I can ever help any of you figure out how to get the same setup that I had, let me know and I'll help you out with whatever I can.

    Cheers!
