    Hello,

I have a 2013 Subaru WRX base 5 speed manual hatchback in world rally blue, 19000 miles. It has the SPT exhaust(I have the stock system and it has 5 miles on it), STI short shifter, wheel locks, rubber floor mats and autodimming mirror with homelink. It's a great car, fastest car in its price range and corners like a little devil. Clean title and still has 3 years left on the warranty. No modifications have been done to prevent any future warranty claims. I bought the car in cash and have the title in hand.

I'm looking to trade for a Tacoma still under factory warranty, V6, 4x4, double cab, TRD sport, and preferably long bed.

Car is located in San Diego.

I used to live in a condo when I bought it. Now I own a house on over an acre and I need a truck to do truck stuff. I am really going to miss it.

Just asking questions others will want to know. I've already put in a verbal commitment to the dealership to order my next car.

I'll trade my 2014 single cab 5 speed manual for it (only 3500 miles), if you have the right imagination, then it is just like the V6 TRD offroad tacoma double cabs.

Did you fall off of your condo balcony and land on your head?

An acre to do truck stuff????!!!! Puuleease! To do what...park ....turn around???

    1 acre = 66 feet or 2 chains (= 3 Tacomas ) x 660 feet or 10 chains ( = 30 Tacomas ).

I live in Canada and have 50 acres, which is a whole sh*t-load of Tacoma's (450 Tacos). And then I still use my Suzuki 450 King Quad to get around on my property with the least impact. I don't do truck stuff on my property (will tear it up), unless it's hooking up the dump trailer or equipment float in the 2 acre work area. Other than that, I use my compact tractor and ATV on the established/built logging trails to 'manage' the forest and wetland. I do not go off-road stupid on my property.

If you want to do 'truck stuff' on your 1 acre property, buy a 'turbo-ed' lawn mower for cutting the grass in record time; and keep that bad-ass WRX to blow away the time. Do STI upgrades to that puppy for the track and Martin`s your uncle.

You do know Martin.... `martin up!

    Just sayin'.

Perhaps he isn't talking about off roading.. Could be talking about things like landscaping, home repair, maybe he has a workshop, truck stuff doesn't only mean off roading;)

You sir, are something I do not wanna say cause I do not want to piss off the mods. But damn man, I got an acre and bought a tacoma so that I could do truck stuff. You know like picking up a few yards of top soil or mulch. Or taking my lawn mower to my mothers to cut her grass. I've even hauled lumber for building decks, and fire wood. You should see a professional about whatever is your problem is.

There are a lot of Subaru fans in here. If you paid cash for the Subi and have title in hand, then keep it and finance a Tacoma of your dreams. You'd have two bad ass vehicles in your piece of land to show off. I'd be there to check them both out. :D Just saying. I love that Subi.

OK, I can do that. Where?

My wife calls me that everyday, no biggy.... but I agree.

    Now we're talkin'.

Just don't tear up the 1 acre with the truck. I can't see needing a truck to maintain 1 acre. Pay someone to deliver wood chips/mulch/soil for the gardens and have a little garden tractor and trailer to move them around.

Come use the Taco up here.

    ;)

Didn't mean to piss you off. My apologies. I was wrong. I got carried away with the pops.

    Sorry, man!

Congrats on your new purchase. Owning land is good stuff!

    I hear ya.

Yes.....my acre is overgrown with brush and other crap left behind by the previous owner. It would probably cost me 1k to pay someone who's insured to come clean it all up. I mostly want the Tacoma to go 4x4 in the desert with my buddies. Also I didn't plan on keeping the Subaru forever, the Tacoma however will be kept as long as it will run.

I was able to negotiate a 2014 Tacoma 4x4 double cab TRD Sport down to 29k and some change. I rather trade the car in or sell it, than pick up another payment. I also found a 5.0 F150 4x4 STX for 25k with 9,000 miles on it. I find it absurdly crazy you can get an F150 with 360 hp that gets BETTER gas mileage than a midsize truck with a V6.

    I just talked to Martin....

He told me to 'martin up.

    Sorry, guys.

BTW. the Tacoma is a stronger build than the Ford (which is still a decent truck) and will last a helleba lot longer if maintained. You'll never keep up with maintenance and repairs on the Ford if you use it off road. Besides, the Tacoma is cooler and a lot more fun off-road.

What part of the manufacturing process makes the Tacoma a stronger truck?
