SOS weld on sliders, SOS bed rack, SOS front aluminum winch bumper with center and head light hoops, Stealth 6 wheels wrapped in goodyear duratracs, 285-70/17 Beer opener in bed, Thule roof rack on factory rack, Tool box, bed mat, K&N cai, flowmaster side out duals, and tailgate extender, Fog light anytime mod, no mud flaps mod Weathertech full set, Wet okoles front and rears, full OME 886 suspension lift with Dakars in rear, smittybilt X20 comp 10 winch, factor 55 yellow pro link,
What are your thoughts on running the full OME lift with 885's, without the 1/2" spacers while adding an aluminum front plate bumper with a winch? I have the 1/2"spacer just havent installed yet, should i add to it now or add it when and if i should go 886's? I'm not sure what is my best route to go since i have aluminum bumper and winch not steal. What advice would you recommend?

That's tough. Everyone has their own opinion on what to use. I know the aluminum bumper is a lot lighter than steel, but it's still going to be a lot heavier than stock. Then adding a winch, depending on the style, is another 75 - 100 lbs.

Maybe some of the other guys can chime in.

Ya, I know, 'cause I bought 'em. Thanks, Rick!

I have the exact same questions. I need a true 3" lift in front, and an extra 3" - 4" of extra down travel in the rear.

Can someone fess up the info?

From what I'm reading the 887 are the same spring rate as the 885 but 1" longer. The 887 are actually for the 2010 + 4runner and they give the 4 Runner 3" of lift, as per OME catalog.

3-4 in of extra down travel in the rear is going to be pretty much impossible unless you go with a 12+ in shock and relocation bracket. Stock shocks come in at right about 9in of travel (same with stock length 5100's) OME N182 shocks are about the longest travel shocks you can find coming in right at 10.2in of travel (that wont require you to extend the bumpstop).... the current OME rear shock offerings actually reduced travel by half an inch or so.

Problem is going above the 10ish in mark of shock travel the shock gets too long and will bottom out before you hit the bumpstop. I mean you could always get a shock extension and then lengthen your bumpstop the same amount but whats the point.

I'm baffled by the pricing… how is it or why is it you are selling these for almost $20 less than the competition and able to offer free shipping. I'm not even seeing this from questionable Amazon comps.

Something just smells fishy to me about this.

If there’s truly this much margin on these coils and you are in business to essentially make profit after covering for things like overhead, then why the heck you undercut the competition by so much. From a business perspective this just doesn't make much sense to me and makes me think there something going on.

On the BestTops, you are advertising a price for the sale; do you happen to know if BestTop has MAP pricing? It scares me when comps violate MAP and something happens with the product where you need to call the manufacturer to replace something and next thing you know the manufacturer tells you the comp you bought from is in violation and therefore they will not warranty your top.

Anyhow you have comps like Toytec and Wheelers as well as a few others on here who have been faithful to TW members and now there’s you (some random dude) who is essentially way undercutting the competition. I’d say congrats for being able to do so, buts it’s a concern why and how to be honest.

Hmmmmmmmmm never thought about the warranty stuff. But Marie at Headstrong matched the same deal pretty much he was giving me for 887's, a trim packer, and the carrier bearing drop kit. He was 189.00 shipped, and she was 196.00 shipped. But Headstrong is an authorized seller. Not sure if this seller is. Just figured I would add to your post Mr Salty.

Sorry if I was undercutting anyone. Or making anyone mad. Wasn't out to make anyone upset. I was only offering the springs and struts up, 10 only, as a deal for the TW members. Not looking for bad blood from anyone.

I don’t think you are picking up what I’m putting down

No anger here, shit the lower you can get the prices the more you'll offload. I was just concerned with why go so low when you really don't have to and would still make the sell. I'm not much of a business man, but it just seemed odd to me.... almost too good to be true. I’m guessing others felt this way, but I could be wrong??

From general research on the price of these you're offering a smoken deal and that’s great, but one should question the reality of this deal when considering the individual posting up doesn’t appear to be affiliated with any actual comp; specifically you just seem like some random guy selling product at a great price and therefore the deal smelled fishy.

Maybe it would be a good idea to intro yourself, identify who you work for and then post up the sale. Might yield better results this way and eliminate the questions ;)

Marie at Headstrong said the 887's would work fine if you don't plan on getting an aftermarket bumper.

Yeah. The 887 have the same spring rate as the 885. Just a taller spring. Supposed to get a full 3" without a spacer on the Tacoma.
