    Hi everybody.

I am going to put together a lighting kit that goes into our useless cubby holes in the bed. It will make 6 leds flush with the bed. The mount will be durable. I am thinking I will make it out of ABS. Little drilling will be required to attach it to the bed but nothing major.

I will mock a prototype up and put pricing out within a month or two. Would anybody be interested in something like this? I am going to make it for my truck but if others like it, I may make some more. It would sell as a kit with the LED's, ABS bracket, and all mounting and wiring hardware.

It would end up looking similar to this http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/at...64-thinking-bad-ass-bed-light-kinda-1-011.jpg

    but with lights like these

Thanks for the feedback. I got the idea from people putting fog lamps in their cubbies but they just hung them with wire and they looked ugly. Then I saw this speaker bracket

    _DSC2990_a216a8e06db496ab1301234f192260c652668c8f.jpg

and thought it looked good so I combined the two ideas. Maybe I will cut some costs and lessen the LEDs to 4 each side?

I have those same lights in my rear bumper...it would be so bright you wouldn't even be able to see in the bed...like the lights of heaven coming out of the taco bed.

Haha those aren't the exact lights. Just a similar look. The ones I would put in are not reverse lights. Nowhere near as bright.

Any more than 2 of those thing in the bed are gonna be overkill. One would do the job nicely.

Will do! I get off for spring break in March and will have access to the shop and CNC Router so I can get designing and testing. I'll keep this thread posted. I'm still working out the flaws.
