Spend a lot of time on mt. roads and going up hill...the TRD Exhaust has a drone at about 2200 when under load (it is fine on the freeway and such). One of those I would have thought it was cool when I was 20 sort of things, but a bit annoying now. I know most folks who have the TRD Exhaust either love it or simply say to crank the radio up....put a shell on the truck and it seems to make it more noticeable. In the end, I guess simply personal preference....for the few HP loss I'd rather have it quieter. Bothers my Lady more than it does me, but if I want a rowdy exhaust I go fire up my 40 (V-8 w/ Flowmaster)...nice for play time, but wouldn't want to daily driver it. Note...the TRD Pro Exhaust is the normal TRD Cat Back, it just has a different tip on it than the old style TRD Exhaust had.

Looking at the pictures online. It appears to be the same as a standard TRD cat back exhaust.

May be the same that comes on TRD Cat Back Systems...just different than what the dealer says he can get and different than what shows up for sale online....I'll look at my neighbors 14 Baja and see if it is the same. Big Oval Etched tip with some type of resonator built in (at least it has lots of little holes inside and is double wall....also pretty much replaces the pipe from the bend out (is a bit over 10" long).

That's exactly how I felt about the TRD Exhaust. I didn't like it at all for a daily driver. I would have loved it if the truck was a fun toy, but it isn't... It's a daily and a comfortable daily that was meant to replace my 2004 STI with a loud exhaust. If I wanted loud things I wouldn't have stopped driving the car lol
