Anyone in South bay in the area near San Jose, CA interested in a 4x4 conversion for your tacoma 2nd gen 4.0L? I have Steve CV axles, and manual T-case. Basically I have everything you need to convert your truck, all the way down to the manual add switch for the front diff. Please PM me
Only part missing is the drive shaft for the transmission to the rear diff.

Transmission: 100K miles, tranny pan needs to be replaced.
Front Diff: 30K miles EXCELLENT CONDITION, with STEVE CV AXLES with all mounts, and ADD.
FJ Cruiser manual T case- 35K miles excellent condition, comes with auto T case to replace electronics for dash indicator
    Front Drive Shaft
    Frotn Diff Add Switch

Asking:$2500 local only, i spent 3K, my lost is your gain.

Bump for a great deal! Looks like the person that buys this will only need driveshaft modification, custom tranny crossmember, fluids, seals and some assorted nuts and bolts. And of course a few days of wrenching.

I spent around $3300 piecing all this together myself and it took quite some time to track everything down for the right price.

So, why did you decided not to do the conversion?. I'm thinking on doing this, but still in search of pros and cons.
