Hey everyone, don't post to often, but I'm here all the time. Like everyone else, I'm looking to trade for a 2012 scooped black hood for my non scooped hood and some cash. My truck is actually being made right now at the factory, so the hood can't get any newer than that. I'm expecting it to show up within the month. I'm willing to do a straight up trade along with some cash. I'm located in San Diego. I prefer you to be in California to save us some shipping issues. I know it's a long shot, but who knows right? Thanks all. :D

They want $1200 painted and installed for the factory scoop. No way in hell I'm willing to pay that just to have a scooped hood! I was happy when I saw your reply. Thought I got lucky :p

I'm sure that cost is cheaper by half while they are being made on the V6's. It's just that since someone wants a new one, they have to prep, paint, install, and align, so there's a lot of labor involved. You know dealer prices.

Will an '09 hood work? I've got a pewter scooped hood and live in San Diego.

No , I don't think so. Since it's a new body style. I'm assuming the hood is new too so that it fits differently. I also prefer black, but thanks anyway.

Thanks for the link. I think I'll wait around a little for someone who maybe willing to trade. That's the best route for me. No painting, not too much money, and a whole lot less trouble. I have some time. The dealer actually just told me today that they are starting production on the truck on the 16th of this month. So I have about a month of bumping this thread on here :p

I thought that the TRD sport already had a hood. But that is weird that it doesn't fit.
