rear window swap

    i have a solid rear window in my '09. it is tinted, looking to swap for sliding style. and has anyone done the removal before? complicated? I'm located in the Charleston, sc area. Thanks

    I don't know how complicated it is but I have an 06 with the slider. Im actually going to garden city beach in two weeks for vacation. Let me see how big of a deal it is and if your interested I might be able to meet up with you and do the swap if you want.

    i would do this in a heartbeat. Rear slider is useless-security breach and rattles when its open. I would re-think changing yours

    i have a dog in the back and wish the access windows opened, so rear opening is my only option.

    Ok so I've done some research and actually talked to a guy who works at Safelite, our rear windows are a pain in the butt. I honestly would not feel too comfortable doing this myself and I wouldn't have the slightest idea what a glass company would charge to do this. Any ideas are appreciated....

    yeah, i wouldn't do it myself. if its relatively cheap to have em swapped, that would br preferred.

    Well I made a few calls and its not sounding promising. Both companies that I called said if they didn't install it they would not touch it, I guess due to the possibility of it leaking. Anywho let me know if you have any other ideas...

    I'm still trying to find someone, no go. i might have to end up just buying a rear slider and getting it changed.
