Well the truck had been sitting on the lot for quite a while, and they really wanted to move inventory... Also, we had gotten my Dad's Accord from the same guy about 6 months earlier, so that helped.

    BTW, it's a Prerunner.

Got my Prerunner TRD Sport for 24.1 so it's definitely do-able. Maybe it's something with our region of Toyota dealers? They seemed awfully willing to come down on price. I played emails between different dealers' "internet departments" and within two days had my price even before we had a final decision on which particular truck I was going to buy.

Yeah it's gotta be something with our region. We walked into the dealership on a Thursday and told the salesman what we wanted and I told him I would drive it home for 24 and he agreed, but I had some other stuff put on it like the skid plate, etc.

Wow! I was barely able to get around 24.2 on an SR5. I thought 450 under invoice was good. Pre-runner for sure. I'd rather get a sport, as would anyone else for that price!

$3700 off MSRP in 2006. That was when there were no rebates and most dealers didn't want to discount them too much because they were popular. I imagine you can get more than $4000 off MSRP now since there are rebates and the auto industry isn't the greatest

I just bought a 2010 Double Cab TRD Sport for $2200 below invoice by using Zag.com. Easiest negotiation of my life ;)

I was able to use Zag.com because I have an American Express card. However, there was not point in which I showed the card or anything. I would assume anyone could use Zag.com

I got my 2010 Double Cab, Long Bed, TRD Sport, 4x4, in magnetic gray last week. Got it for $28,500. This included the VIP package from the dealership. Where they'll take care of any dings, scratches for the first two years.

I thought I got a good deal until seeing some of the deals others are getting on here. :(

Toyota sometime offers a rebate as an incentive for buying a truck or car. Varies by area and can change or go away on a monthly basis. Go check out buyatoyota.com and put in your zip code and find a dealer. Look for monthly offers

MSRP for my truck was 32,290 or something.

I talked to an internet fleet manager and told him I was a recent college graduate and also wanted to take advantage of the $1000 off double cab So Cal discount (March of 2010). He got the truck down to $29,784 from MSRP and then we used the $1000 college and $1000 rebate to get it down to $27,784 +ttl.

So roughly $4500 off...walked outta there with 4.25% over 60 months through Toyota. I'm happy.

Yeah, for June there was a $750 rebate on the truck. Good thing we bought last Friday. July has only a military and recent college grad rebate. I graduated 4 years ago, and have been out the Corps for 15 years so I qualify for neither.

I did not realize that the rebates were regional, I thought that they were national.
