I saw my "dream" truck on the way home for lunch today

speedway blue, double cab, TRD OR, 4X4
    2008 with 52,000 miles

    asking price is 24,995

The truck has a few dings and scratches but looks good overall
I have been wanting this exact truck for a while now but I need to know if that is a good price or what I could offer them. Its a nissan dealer if that matters and has been on the lot 2 days. But it is the last day of the month so that might work in my advantage

    I owe 13,000 on mine and KBB's at 17,300
so I will have some positive trade in dollars to help with the deal

You could get a brand new one for just a few thousand more than that.

I would love a 2010 but I cant afford that. If I was to get this same truck but 2010 it would be about 28,000 even with my trade in I would be at 23,000. then my monthly would go up and I cant afford that.

I always figure it's 3 seperate negotiations, first is to negoitate the price of the vehicle you are buying. Don't even talk trade in until the price is agreed on for the vehicle you are buying. Second is the trade in. Know what you will take and be prepared to walk at any time. Then negotiate the finances. I always get pre approved and will only use the dear financing if it's lower. As for the price on that truck, I'd offer 21,000.

Wow, this only reaffirms what a deal I got.

Got my red 2008 DC V6 SR5 TRD 2x4 with 18,5XX miles for $22,3XX OTD.

I'd skip on this vehicle for that price. No doubt you can get them to come off that number a bit. That's a ton of miles for a 2008 IMO too. Also I'm not smart of what kind of premium the 4x4 fetches.

    back to bone stock.
keason..if the used truck is on a car dealer's lot, rest assured they probably hosed someone for it.

i say sell your's in a private sale..if you can. then go and blast that dealer with a 21k offer..OTD. never hurts to go low. i promise you, they will try to lowball you on your truck.
