Seat belt sticking

I have a new 2010 double cab that I bought a month ago and the driver's side shoulder belt is sticking. Some days I'm un able to get it to release. After maybe 5 to 10 puls I may or may not get it.

Has anyone else had this problem?

 

yep, thats what a warranty is for. if its nothing, then so be it. at least you will have your piece of mind about it.

My 07 will go through this every now and again. Normally after I hit the trails. It won't loosen up while it is on then when I try to put it back on I can't get it to come out enough to buckle it. Usually just give it a few pulls and all is well. I'll have to mention it to the dealer when I go, thats the problem though I don't hardly go.

How is it sticking? Won't unbuckle or can't get harness it?
For second time in weeks when getting in vehicle I can't get the pretensioner to release the belt. I don't have enough slack to retract for it to release. Finally after driving and braking it released. Odd.

 

Warranty. Don't mess with it. I've taken one apart in a gen1 Tacoma because it was sticking. There's pretty much nothing you can do to make them work right - they're way more complicated than you can imagine. All I could do was blow the crud out of it that had accumulated in 13 years of sitting there, and it did help, but it didn't cure it 100%. If yours is under warranty, have Uncle Toyo look at it.
