    hey guys im painting my side step bars. what kind of paint should i use on the steal :)

    May have a difficult time if its chrome. Try getting it powdercoated black if thats the color you want to paint it..You might try to sand if possible with 300 grit to dull it, then rattle can a coat of adhesion promoter, then krylon enamel or herculiner bedliner paint. I still think powdercoating is more durable.

    U need a bonding primer if its a slick surface. Sherwin williams has a primer that sticks to glass
