Mild Lift Suggestions

Hey guys/gals. I am new to the TACOma scene as well as the lifted scene. I owned a lowered truck in the past, but now I own a TACO and a LIFT is a must. I have an 10' DC LB Sport, and was wondering what would be the easiest way to get a little higher without spending $2,000 or more on suspension parts. My friend told me to get SPACERS for the fronts and BLOCKS for the back...is this all I would need to go a little higher? ANY HELP is greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

 

Spacers are generally frowned on around here
But if your not gonna Offroad much I don't think it'll be an issue. The ride might get a little more stiff though.

If not, some nice coilovers by icon/king/fox will work awesome and still ride really nice.

 

dysfunctnlretard coilovers for the front, and blocks in the back? What do u mean by "frowned"?- Not many people running them? And yes, I won't be going off roading much, pretty much just for the streets and style

 

Dont listen to your friend. Though his method will get you some cheap height, you'll regret buying the POS stuff down the road. If you're on the cheap, but want decent stuff, look into a set of Bilstein 5100 series shocks for the front and back of the truck, along with an add a leaf for the rear.

 

I would do some coilovers for the front and maybe an Add-A-Leaf for the back. Look into the OME lift, it's relatively cheap and I don't think I've ever heard any negative things About them.

Or you could get a whole new leaf pack from ALL PRO which provides lift and extra flex.

 

Relentless Taco: are those blistein 5100 shocks the ones that already come equipped with the TRD Sports from factory? If so, I already have them.

 

How much would a set of coilovers go for, you think? $1,000 would be a little too much for my budget also

 

Relentless is absolutely right about 5100s but also keep in mind that the ride with 5100s is stiff and rough when lifted. Everybody has their own preference on ride but just wanted to let you know before you buy something and regret it.

 

just go ome in front and wheeler's 3-leaf AAl in rear

yeah I'll look more into it. I don't have the money to get larger tires yet, so I don't want to go big in lift just yet.

 

As mentioned, you cant go wrong with the OME stuff either. It's what I personally run and love it, its just a tad more spendy than the 5100s if you're looking for a true budget lift.
