rear end harsh bounce and sway

do any of you have a real harsh bounce and/or sway from the rear end when going over a bump or a hole?
I have the leaf TSB done, got it done last year. Here as of late tho, my ride has been rough to say the least coming from the back, just curious to see if Im the only one.
yes I am aware its a truck, and I use it as such.

 

I hated the way my truck rode in the rear. it seemed to be super stiff and it drove me crazy. I didnt have the TSB done but I did have a single AAL.
I switched to a 3 AAL set from Wheelers and its so much better now

you will loose a little towing capacity b/c you remove the overload leaf with this setup. But since I dont tow anything it wasnt a factor for me.

 

Have you checked your tire pressure lately?

Janster, yes. it does it regardless of pressure. 28psi-38psi. same hop and sway.

 

^^thats a thought. I went in for an oil change and noticed they aired my tires up to like 60 something PSI!!!!

 

maybe try the 3 leaf pack and some firestone bags for when you tow? that would be a little pricey but not any more than a new leaf pack

 

Check if one of your rims are bent. My truck was behaving like that a couple weeks ago but it was a bent axle shaft.

 

Rims are good, just checked them a couple months ago. Axle shaft!? damn

 

^^Yea, met in a minor fender bender where the guy hit my back tire but no visible damage to the truck. His tire and rim was busted so I paid him on the spot for that (I was wrong). Next day driving through the mountains every left turn my tires would scream and going over bumps the rear end would sway and bounce around. Put it on the ramp and saw my right wheel wobbling, I was hoping it was just a bent rim but it turned out to be a bent axle and housing ! Stupid me I should of dealt with it correctly (insurance etc.).

 

dang bro. I am pretty sure mine is from the TSB. its not a big deal, it just seems that it has gotten more rough over the past few months.
Im not worried about it. Im gonna keep on keeping on

 

^^I got an axle shaft and diff housing from a wrecked 4x4 Sport at a local junk yard for cheap, so for those wondering the 4x4 and PreRunner axle shafts are the same.
