New rims with UCAs

I have the stock rims and I'm wondering if I need rims with a different backspacing When I get some Camburg either uniball or the ball joint ones?

 

any ideas?

 

Jw why are you getting the new uca's? Fixing an alignment problem I'm guessing

 

Nope i have the camburg 1.25 unibal UCAs on stock wheel with no problems.

 

Actually the UCA's will give you better clearance.

 

I'm thinking about new UCAs (yes alignment) but would not get them if I needed new wheels. I was reading on camburg's website and for the ball joint ones they say you need 4.5 backspacing, I was just wondering if this applied for the uniballs.

Actually the Camburg design uniball and the ball joint will give you better clearance than the stock UCA's. But you might still rub, that is probably why they recommend the 4.5" BS. They don't want people to be writing them about rub issue.

If you don't want new wheels you can always install wheel spacers. Biggest spacer with stock studs would be 1/4". If you want more? Spidertrax makes a good quality set. They run $99 a pair.
