Lets keep things civil here.

Granted the Frontier may have a few "Ups" on the Tacoma and vice versa. It is all personal preference.

To the Frontier owner. Welcome to TW even though you don't own one. You have a nice rig with the SAS

i just followed a link here and thought it was funny. the guy linked here and was asking why nissan and toyota hated each other. same thing as ford/chevy. there will always be one taco that can beat a fronty and one fronty that can beat a taco. the OP should ask the same question on a frontier board and go test drive both. I wont bash either one directly but there are not too many unbiased opinions here, but then I wouldnt expect it when its posted on a taco forum. not too bright on the OP's part......... now roast did stir it up a bit. i just wanted to say that there are some N/A frontys out there that will dust anything short of a turbo or s/c taco. there was even some dude that raced with 2 x runners and beat them on one of the taco boards....

Not bad. 2 transmissions in 40,000 miles here.

This threads heading nowhere fast. Almost like a honda car forum bashing a Nissan forum over how much faster a civic might be than a sentra.lol.

If you want my opinion, were on here because we enjoy Yotas. I can see you enjoy Nissan and thats fine. Its all about personal preference as mentioned before. The OP shoulda knew a biased would happen on a yota forum, but thats ok...you just wont see me trolling Nissan forums waiting for somebody to put down Toyota....

JAF06SE. That Video is from 2005 and I can't remember but was it the Frontier or Tacoma that was Motor Trends Truck of the Year that year?

I can't comment on any Nissan trucks because I've never owned one. But I can tell you from experience that the Tacoma is a very reliable, fun to drive, comfortable truck. I just traded my 2003 in for a new 2009 TRD Sport. The newer models are much more comfortable and roomy on the inside and the ride is nicer than my old truck. I loved my old Tacoma so you can just imagine how much I love the new one. I definitely made the right decision. Good luck...

I'm in the market myself. And have tried both trucks. In my opinion the Tacoma looks better, has better fuel economy, and turns better. But the Nissan has a little more room and has a more comfortable ride. Both are about the same on towing and power even though the Nissan has more horsepower and torque.

Both trucks seem like they use cheap parts (plastics, cloth seats, paint, etc) but the Nissan has a reasonable price for those things and has a bonus of a fully boxed frame, and 4-wheel disc brakes.

Toyota does not. The tacoma is more expensive than the Nissan, and has a C frame which helps its flexibility but weakens its toughness. Tacoma also has brake drums in the rear wheels which are cheaper to produce and comes at a cost of putting more workload on the front disc brakes to stop the truck.

The Tacoma for some reason did better on crash tests....which is a plus for me. And another plus for me is the aftermarket parts the Tacoma is compatible with....I especially like that I can put a supercharger under the hood.

I have had nissans since age 16. I have just bought my first toyota and I have a bond with it I have never had with a dang vehicle. TOYOTA rules just try it.
