Just in case anyone needs to know, I called Linear Logic today regarding my ScanGuage 2 with a 3.17 version firmware. They agreed to update it for free! Class act at Linear.

Yeah Scanguage support is top notch I will always recommend them. They helped TW and run update for many of us for free, when you showed you belong to TW.
I love Scanguage, doing Transmission oil change is very easy with that tool.

Two things that made me happy yesterday. Finally seeing the TFT on my truck and seeing the $0 invoice for the upgrade. Top notch product supported by top notch people that care about TW members. If you are in the market for a scan tool, my ONLY recommendation is ScanGuage from Linear Logic.

Did the Transmission oil drain and refill a few weeks ago. I followed the Service Manual to get into "Temperature Check Mode" to check the TransFluid level.
What I wasn't sure is if the SGII TFT can be used to get the reading '46°C (115°F) to 56°C (130°F)' range required to accurately check the fluid level.

    Note: I have a 2006 4.0L V6
    1. Is the SGII TFT displaying the Torque Converter temp or Pan temp?
    2. Is the "Temperature Check Mode" reading from TorqueConverter temp or Pan Temp? *IIRC I read somewhere it is the Pan Temp?
    3. Is what the SGII TFT displaying the same as the "Temperature Check Mode"?

Basically, I want to check my fluid level again in the next week. Instead of doing the jumper and PNDNDNDNP "Temperature Check Mode", can I just rely on the SGII TFT display and ensure it is between 115°F & 130°F before checking the fluid level?

I checked my fluid level the last time using the temp check mode and verified it using my ultragauge. I initiated temp check mode, then pulled the wire out and plugged my ultragauge in, the temp check range for my truck was 97-115 degrees F at the pan. At idle in park, the pan and TC temps are within a couple of degrees of each other.

Not sure exactly what you are watching this ancient thread for, but related to your '13............

There is no OPG reading, because the OPG is not a function the ECU cares about.

There are two trans readings available, pan and converter. You have to enter those codes in the SCII as custom, but they work great.

Is that the info you were interested in?

I’ve looked pretty hard to learn what the tft2 is. Anyone know what it is on a 3rd gen? Towed my first camper (3000 lbs wet) today. Tft1 maxed out 205 while tft2 would max at 221. My tft1 averages high 190s so was not worried until I saw the tft2 hit 220s. Tft2 immediately drops back down to 190s after eclipsing a grade
