Is this working in an automatic or a manual 6 speed?

I have never entered an xgauge but I will try it tonight on my 05 since this not working was what caused me to take the scangauge out of my truck...

That would be great. X-guage just takes some time to enter a shit load of numbers. Not hard but easy to make a mistake.

Only other thing scanguage asked my was my firmware version. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problem or if the later year Tacoma's are just different.

Looks to see that 07 and up are confirmed not working. I'm running 4.02 firmware.

So your also running 4.02 we are assuming. So I guess we can also assume the vehicle is different. Well Mines working great 07-up I think I had someone from every year confirm its not working.

Would like to see another 06 confirm (so people don't think I'm crazy LOL) along with an 05.

Hey, I'm glad it works in your 06, but the codes you posted do not work in a 2009 4.0 ATX.

ETA: Running a Scangauge II with version 3.17.

I wouldn't update until its confirmed working for your year. Unless everyone that tested is old firmware I think its the truck more then its the firmware for now.

I spoke with scangauge and I am going to upgrade my unit and try the code again on my 2011. If it doesn't work then they will have to try and find a new code.

Where did you get this info from?

Have you doublechecked to make sure you typed it correct in your post?

I forgot to try it on my 05 last night but its a priority tonight. I dont know what version mine is running I have had it for a few years now. I will post the results tonight...

I got it in an Email from ScanGuage (during a phone call to them). I copied and pasted it from the email to here. I read the email on my phone in the truck when I added the code.

I'm pretty sure it just don't work on 07 and up. But no one has confirmed it working on their 05 or 06 besides me. So I'm in a holding pattern. If it doesn't work on your 05 then I'll move on to asking more info firmware.

Tried the codes for my Scangauge on my 06. It works for me. But there is one thing. When I programmed all the numbers in, and then went to the gauges screen, and located the "TFT" meter, there was nothing. Disappointed, but not too surprised, I went back to the original gauge I had, and shut off the truck. This afternoon, I tried it again, just to check. Low and behold, it works! It reads in *F, but that's fine by me.

So it is confirmed, it does work on 06's.

    Working on it
Does not work on an 05 SR5 auto trans, firmware was updated just last year 3.17 or so....

    any other 05's try it...

any 06's with older firmwares get i to work...

any chance of a video flipping through the xgauge program codes in the setup screen, that way people will know they aren't getting "0"'s and "O"'s confused
