Is the 8.4 rearend strong?

    Is the 8.4 rearend in my taco strong

    That doesnt mean its not strong. You can break anything, if you dont know what your doing, or abusing somthing. I have never had the 8.4" rear break, or hear of someone out here breaking them. Not unless they were beating on it. It also depends on your defanition of "Strong". Are 35's going to put more stress on it? Absolutly. But when running 32's or so, the rear end is more than adequate for these trucks.

    I used to have a jeep that had Dana 30 and Dana 35 and they were snap happy with just 32 inch tires

    Alot of folks compare the Toyota 8" to a Dana 44

    I doubt you are any harder than alot of the TTORA folks out here. Many are still running the stock 8" on their SAC rigs with no issues.
