''Mini Lip'' Satoshi

Does anybody have a satoshi grill with a smaller lip? Just curious to see how it would look without the deep dish style. Or any unique satoshi out there thats not the same.

Update: Here are some pictures of the Mini lip satoshi i been working on. Over all i think it came out pretty good. But still a work in progress.

 

Mines a bit on the different side...
Did the grill Bumper & hood with aluminum mesh. cuto out the 2 triangles & left them open...

 

I'm currently working on one...i cut about 1.5 inches off the depth. I need the extra room for the lights I'm going to try and fit

 

the lip on mine is about .5 inches. i can get a picture tomorrow if its not raining

 

Cool i though Ty and i were the only ones! Im currently working on my 1 inch lip. i wanted to mount my hellas behind it without worrying about the radiator being touched.

Homer that looks really good. I just noticed you did the hood scoop too. Any tips on how you managed that? Are you going to fill in the side triangles or is there a reason
as to why you didn't?

 

made mine a little shallow ...want to make more shallow latter.

 

You guys that want to make it shallow can have an easy way to mount the grill. If you cut some slots into the grill surround and cut tabs into the grill mesh, you can slide the tabs into the slots and secure it that way. If you make the tabs short enough you might even be able to bend the mesh in place so you can secure top, bottom, and both sides this way

 

The Scoop was easy... I just fabbed a piece of the new aluminum & replaced the stock one. As far as the triangles... I was so eager to get the grill back on I put it back in place before I installed those two pieces. I likes the was it looked so I just left it that way!

 

That sounds pretty easy! Would you happen to have any experience with a shallow satoshi?

Hey Homer would you happen to have have any pictures of how you mounted the mesh part to the grill? Im curious to see everybody's different ideas.

Looks like you used some studs to mount your grill. Would you happen to have an pictures?

krans,used por 15 epoxy putty because the putty is easier to hold bolt on ,doesnt run.Por 15 putty is expensive I think theres other brands of epoxy putty.Just sand where you are going to mount bolt good . Yours is comming out nice
