Nope. Toyota loaned me money at 1.9%, investments have been earning between 4.5 and 5%, why would I pay it off?

Awesome deal.
I just now saw this. I think it was a special Toyota SE had going on for a few months. I wasn't looking too seriously to get a new car anytime soon, but this is basically what made me buy it (I guess their incentives do work). I compared the prices of a new Taco vs a few years old... it made sense to me to just get a new one if I could qualify for the loan. Only drawback is they only offered the 0 APR for 36 months, so payments are just a hair under 900 each month. But if you can swing it, it's a great deal indeed- I hate paying any sort of interest!

Model year 2011, bought in 2011, paid in full 2011 . Truck payments better utilized elsewhere!

My truck is both paid off and a gift from my parents, and I'll admit it. I worked hard in high school and earned myself a full tuition scholarship, and ended up with the truck in exchange.

Paid mine off back in 1/2011. It's nice not having car payments.

I'd originally leased my '07 in Feb '08 as a holdover. Leased for 2.5 yrs and decided I wanted to keep it so I took out a loan to buy it out. I paid it off back in March of this year. Paid off my wife's '10 Yaris at that time... and then paid off our two motorcycles.

Outside of a couple more cards, we are down to them and the mortgage. Loving it!

I totaled a 2011 Ford truck that was paid for. I used that insurance money plus some to buy my new truck outright. I had to get the base model, but it's well worth it to drive MY truck and not the bank's.

IMO that's a great win win, everybody benefits and should be happy/proud! Truck is certainly cheaper than tuition and you are rewarded for your hard work and efforts. Not all families are able to do this but it's great when you can. Our daughter graduated on time and with scholarship and also worked while in college. We were happy to surprise her with down payment for her home with money we had previously saved for her college. Hard work usually eventually pays off.

My 2005 access cab Pre-Runner had been paid off for 5 years, until yesterday, when I traded it in for a 2010 TRD Off-Road 4x4

Paid in full a while back. Driving it into the ground before I take on another payment again. It's nice not shelling out $500 a month anymore.
