Are these 255/85/16's? How did you find the 2.7 did pushing those around? I'm afraid to go 235/85/16's because I will always want bigger

The 4 cylinder is fine w/ 255's on the road and for light wheeling as well. Don't plan on setting any land speed records and you can get away with it I did a couple of trips from AK to NM with the stock gears, but have 4:88 gears now which seems just about perfect for the truck. As for 235/85/16's they fit great stock and the 4:10 gears seemed to be fine for them. I have more pics with 235's posted on TTORA same screen name if that helps.

Thanks for the input, I was reading through some of your posts on TTORA about running 4.88's, there is some good info there. I don't trail my truck enough to justify regearing yet but I will be doing some mild off roading and am planning on getting some 235/85/16 BF Goodrich all terrains. Good to know I shouldn't have too many issues with them.

I think you will be real happy with 235/85/16 BFG's they look great on the truck with no lift and are tall and skinny and fill the wheel wells nicely. Just a heads up the tire you are looking at is a load range "E" tire, I could be wrong but if it is I would reccomend running about 40 plus psi for tire pressure. Good luck and post some pics up when you have them on.

    hi,
installed the full ome kit, with dakers, and a 10mm. top plate spacer, 4 months ago.couldn't be happier, impressed with the rears, way better than stock 4 leafs, the body roll is reduced in turns, load rate is better, 3" lift.
885' s seem stiff, but the e- rated bf,s are the culprit, hope a new arb bumper softens the front a bit.
didnt get any bad vibes, waiting on uca's til needed, solid, capable 3" lift!DSC01330.jpg

I just ordered a set of camburg uca's that take the stock style balljoints. I have been using stock uca's with no major issues for about a year now but the angles definitely don't look like they should. Definitely play around with your tire pressure, at 32 psi my e-rated tires were really bouncy when I started running between 40 and 45 psi the truck rode a lot better. At first I couldn't believe it but it made a huge improvement on my mileage as well. Off-road just remember to air down I have run as low as 12 psi with no issues and some folks run as low as 8 psi.

That's great to hear that you didn't get any vibes. Your setup looks very similar to mine so hopefully mine goes just as smooth. I should be seeing my parts next week. Thanks for the post!

My dakars shipped today from Wheelers Off-road should be here in a few days. Anyone running Timbrens with their dakars? I opted to go with those instead of the extra add-a-leaf so we''ll see how it turns out.

I would also recommend you buy the 3 degree shims for the rear leaf springs from www.trdparts4u.com . That will put less angle on your universal joints.
