cargo racks/bike racks/headache rack answers

i just found this site

http://www.usrack.com/index.shtml

and thought back to all the post about "how can i carry XXX"
well they have a set for our truck now so you can carry ladders, canoe, kayk, motorcycles, and a headache rack you could use for hauling

http://www.usrack.com/railrack.shtml

is for our truck

at the bottom of the first link is all the 2 wheel stuff

think a bit cheaper than going tule or someone else and looks a bit stronger?

just a FYI

wow, that is really cheap. $399. If I had to carry long things more often, I'd be looking at that.

Thanks phantom.

Thule XPorter is a better deal IMO. You're not stuck with a rack that's at roof height so for someone like me that carries mountain bikes I'm not climbing all the way up. The Xporter also mounts to the track rails.

it is a better deal for bicycles, but when you need to haul a kayak or a ladder, I'm going to us racks.

Just curious.. why? The Xporter can be raised and lowed to accomodate ladder's and kayaks or bikes, skis? It also supports their roller attachment as well for easy loading. I could see where someone using the truck as a work truck and carrying ladders daily would want a US Rack. Guess it would depend on how much versitiliy you would want and what your overall use would be... hmm answered my own question.

Dude.. offended by me asking your opinion on why you preferr US Racks over another option? Geeze.. as a moderator I would think you would welcome a question asking for and entertaining opinions on why one product was preferred over another. Pretty damn rude if you ask me.

Alright, I'm sorry. It was meant as a joke/ lame comeback, because I had no proper response.

Have a good one.

ok, i posted this trying to help out other folks
but if this is going to turn into a xporter fan club rally"
then feel free to close and remove this topic !

i myself like the ease of mount and the use of the top of the bed for support and like the idea of a headache rack, with that alone i could haul longer lumber and not worry about my roof !
and some of their things for hauling a bike ( with engine) looked pretty good
so thought i might be helping,

but guess not , no reason to post at the TN nation of the west anymore

rack question

What kind of rack do people have out there that would attach to the top of the box? I would like to attach it this way to allow the use of my tonneau cover.
