...and your kidding??? I hope ha
I've thought about it for a while...or something else.
Thats the thing though, I try to keep it on its toes.. All new fluids at regular intervals and I wash it every free chance I get, which is rare now.

No doubt there's jobs out there, just not in a small town like Auburn where more than half of the stores are locally owned. Like previously said I'm sitting at 93,47x miles with my 06. :) Its motor is dead on brilliant just everything else is showing its age.

I would rather drive my parents cars than ride a bus haha

And that wasn't for you personally, I've had it happen before and it was just a Warning.. Nothing personal

My dad had it for the year I was 15.. He put 60K+ miles on it in that year... and I've done the rest.

Disagree. If they made just one car thats the best, it would be a complete waste of money for many and sales would go down. Why would the pool guy buy a v8 full size to carry 500lbs of gear around? Would make no sense.

It seems like 1st gens are built a little more sturdy than the newer trucks but its not just Toyota thats moving into these more "lightweight" components, its everyone. Offroad a Chevy and I guarantee youll have even more problems, and thats a full-size which is made to handle more weight.

We all frequent this forum daily, often even more, and I think it almost makes us believe that offroading, prerunning, and rock crawling are the norm when it really isnt. The proportion of stock trucks used for normal daily driving (i.e what a civic would drive) as opposed to modded trucks for offroading is drastically lopsided, and we are in fact the minority and this should make you realize that Toyota didnt really fail as bad as we think it did.

Bottom line: shit happens when you play hard.

Also, necessity is the mother of invention. Youll get your truck fixed.

Is that why all my friends think I'm retarded for wheeling a $28k truck?

LOL. My friends used to do the same thing. Id get some mean trail pinstripping and wouldnt care at all, It added character to the truck IMO, but my buddies would cringe. They laughed that my 6month old truck would squeak more than an 89 Civic.

my truck has been making noise forever, drive trains shakes like a cambodian whore, and the belts and pulleys sound like deaf midgets are playing the 1812 overture...but i get over it thru the blasting of loud hip-hop
