so, I have an 06 dc 4x4 and realized two days ago that i had to fit 4 people in it today. I had an idea for some time now so i made it happen. I tore everything apart, wired it, built the box, installed it and put everything back together in about a day and a half.

The HU is an alpine along with the 700w amp. The speakers are older jl audio 10" W-4s. I wired a swtch for the remote thats controlled on the dash.

Tell me what you think, cuz im sure you havent seen one offs like this!

i made mine around the support (it was a bitch). did you sound insulate the sheet metal? i didn't but i rubberized the box so that it wouldn't raddle. it works very well, mine is way to loud at the min setting i need to get in there and cut it down. did you glue the box together? i have always had better luck with the glued boxes.

I didnt insulate anything yet, i did poke a few hole in the sheet metal with an air chisel removing the brace thing, but I'm gonna fix them later. The rest of my plan is to install dyno mat or whatever that sh*ts called and bolt the box down. I did glue the box and sealed it completely with silicone. The face of the speaker and amp are mounted on left over cherry cabinet doors left over from a job. I spent all of $30 on materials and recycled everything else for out box.
