Is the metal wire that runs around the base of the boot snapped into place?
If not that could explain your trouble. Just my .02

its either that or the little clips that hold it in...the wire isnt bent or broken and ive tried gently stretching it out to kinda put more pressure on the clips and a week or two later i look down and there it is all screwed lol

Mine usually pops out of place when cleaning the boot with a wet cloth.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
I do not have that problem. Here's a way to fix it and not have it visable:
Remove the tray and shift knob. Make some small metal clips out of electrical conduit and use plastic epoxy to hold them on.
Unless you're still in warranty, then take it in.
