I have a 2009 4x2 access cab. What are the largest tires I can put on the 15 in steel stock rims? Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't go any larger than the 225-70x15s I use for snow tires. Taller tires -- 235-70x15 puts you into "permanent overdrive" and the 235 is a bit too wide for the standard wheel.

I went to a 235-60x16 on a 6.5-inch alloys for my summer wheels.

Shop at TireRack. Their computer will help you avoid mistakes.
