Don't bother getting the TRD, save your dad or mom a bunch of money and use it towards an aftermarket suspension system, 3 inch suspension lift.
the trd suspension is pretty much a joke and cant handle anything that hardcore.

I got 2007 trd sport and realized it was a total waste of money

I got the TRD for the seats and the E-locker.

Worth every goddamn penny. And seeing as an ARB locker with air compressor will damn near run you the same especially since the seats and ATRAC are priceless...

What does a hot climate have to do with black? Nothing.. absolutely nothing. That myth annoys me so much. I've had dark green, several red, black, silver... it doesn't make a lick of difference on the interior temp, and if it changes the exterior temp it's negligible at best... they all suck in the AZ sun at 122F out on a clear day.

Also black in Oregon ain't that bad either... it rains so much and if you're initially clean it stays so wet it kinda just keeps it shiny and nice lol...[IMG]

Taken in Oregon along the coast... last time I washed it from then was probably very easily a month prior. I did a lot of random driving places too.

I will say the new black is kinda meh though, BSP > regular old black.

Also, good luck with the vehicle and make sure to thank the parents :p

Same motor... shouldn't be any different. Trust me, the Tacoma's 4.0 is not the loudest ticking motor either... by far.

    Define "it" and the result?

Also Mythbusters is a great show, but they very rarely do things correctly by scientific standards.

I'm talking about the color differences purely from actually real life day to day experiences... I haven't seen a difference, at all, with any color, in Phoenix AZ. For that matter, black vs white leather doesn't make a bit of diff either. The only thing that DID make a difference to the interior temp was my G35's front tinted window (uv tint only). The replacement window with no tint shot the temps back up to everything else. Even then... it was a very minor diff.

they had two of the same exact cars, one black and one white next to each other and had them out in the sun on a hot day with thermometers on the inside, and the black car had a significantly higher temp than the white car

Meh all I can tell you is both of my cars sitting out side these past few weeks... they are both the same. The truck is black, car is red. Both have front window covers on, both tinted. The red car is limo tinted even... Both feel exactly the same when I open the door and get in mid day. Granted I haven't put a thermometer on it... but 10 degrees would be fairly noticeable I'd think.

I'd get it in Timberland...that green is so sick!

So you wanna trade your 2010 in for a 2011 for the different grille??

I think the new grille style is cheap looking...keep the truck ya got and put a grillcraft in it and save thousands...just sayin

Either way...good for you man! Just be thankful for it bud, alot ppl take shit like that for granted! You definitely have some cool parents...shit, mine won't even help me get my drive shaft re-built right now...and all i want is to borrow the money cause I won't have enough until next month :(

Good luck with the new truck.

I parked my truck next to my buddies black truck and he had a laser temp gauge pointed at both trucks and truck registered alot cooler. Also my last truck was black (BSP X-Runner) and it was noticeably hotter in the vehicle in the summer months.
