Yeah they are 18x9 XD Monsters. I have the 3 degree shims installed. Does anyone know my chances of being able to get the alignment in spec with the stock uca's? The coilovers are at the height they came with from Toytec, I think about 2.5"-3" of lift.

I just got my toytec ultimate lift kit and am considering installing it myself since the mechanic I usually go to refused - saying it was a liability for him.

How much experience did you have before the install?

I have pretty much zero experience working on cars, other than changing oil.

I would say go for it and try to find a friend to help you out, there were some parts that I don't know if I could have done with only one set of hands. As far as experience I've only lowered sports cars so this was my first time lifting a truck. The kit was easy and straight forward to install, I would say the hardest part we had was getting the AAL's sandwiched in with the rest of the leaves and lined up so you can put the centering pin in. But again, it wasn't that hard. Good luck!

@lmnt: go for it. I installed my ultimate list all by myself, and before that the most advantageous thing I've EVER done on ANY vehicle was change a tire. (You've got one up on me; I never even changed my own oil before.)

Just do your homework. I educated myself by studying the DIY's posted on this site. You might want to do this when you have the availability of a second vehicle (friend, family) so you can use it to make errand runs with. There is bound to be something you need that you don't have. Don't panic, just plan for it.

    Good luck!

The actual "Ultimate Kit" comes with pre-assembled front shocks+coils right? Those will be even easier to install than what I had to do. I bought my shocks and coils separately. Good luck, and we're here if you need us!
