I know there is the picture in the 2011 Toyota Tacoma brochure, but other than that, are there any pictures of the 4 cyl Dbl Cab in person? Thanks!

I'm curious to see how it will look.

wow. What makes you think it will look any different than a truck with the 4.0? Besides the engine bay of course.

Well i'm more curious to see the non pre-runner. I want to know if it will be like the 4 cyl access cabs, without lift and fender flares, or not. Should be interesting to see a Double Cab like that. With small tires, no flares, no lift.

also lower, different suspension, 5-lug wheels, tiny tires

If we stand a 4.0L DC next to the 2.7L DC, although is the same body, Im sure they'll look very different, height, small wheels and tires (with high offset) make a drastic change.

Same as when you stand a base 5-lug AC/Reg Cab next to AC/Reg Cab Prerunner

I'm also curios to see an actual picture instead of that one that kind of looks photoshoped.

I want to see one too! I'm surprised they stuck the 4-banger in the double cab.

No problem, also that pic above is with optional package, without it fender flares according to toyota.com will not be color matched, rear bumper would be black, grill would be argent rear glass would be solid and no fog lights in 2.7Ls.... also I'm curious if rear windows will actually have privacy glass.

I know TW is not a big fan of lowered trucks, but I would honestly love to see a DC 2.7L, with everything color matched lowered to X-Runner height, with 20" X-Runner wheel replicas (There is supposedly a company in xr-underground.com that will make them ) with low offset to sit flush with flares.

Lifted would look good too, but IMO its easier & cheaper to drop a 5-lugger than lift it with a nice setup, + it would cost less to buy the pre-runner version that is already higher and has more aftermarket lift support than 5-luggers.

i like "lowered" trucks too, not big into the scrapers, more like the sporty trucks, my old truck was a chevy colorado ZQ8. man i loved that thing, fast and handled like a dream. but now my truck is more practical for me now. lol

I would imagine few dealers order a 4 cyl DC since there is such a small demand. More importantly, there is very little dealer profit. Why build one when loaded Sport TRD's get snapped up by eager consumers? While it may exist on paper, that doesn't mean it's built.

@ whippersnapper - I appreciate your post, but its similar to if someone wanted to see the 3rd gen tacoma in a year or so in person instead of leaked shots.

Yes a photoshoped 3/4 view from the back. There are request for pictures of DC/AC/Reg Cab Tacomas, White-Red-Blue-Black Tacomas, X tire size in a tacoma, X size wheel in tacoma etc etc, heck there are even request for pictures of 2011 Tacomas, when nothing has changed except for the grill, so why this particular request of a picture of a Tacoma model, that has not been available before in 2nd Gen Tacomas is so much headache for you, I don't know. Most of all, the guy has been courteous, even when questioned at first of the existence of that particular model he continues to be polite, so I see no need for that sort of comment.

He continues to be polite. Rep for you Sir.
