Ive been on a search for a great condition double cab long bed 4x4 and havent been having too much luck.

This brings me to ask about sacrificing and going short bed. Have any of you fit a quad in your bed with a toolbox?

I doubt it at least without a slim box. I have a normal one and have about 48" between the box and the tailgate. Have you considered a small trailer? It's probably safer than in the bed anyways?

unless your wheels are on the box it aint happening. my tires are on the tailgate without a box.

Yeah I figured I would have to put tires on the toolbox if it would work.

Saw a guy with his quad standing on end the other day:eek: Frees up some bed space but I don't know if it's too good for the quad.

I wanted a narrow tool box so I made one. Although, I probably could have fit a full sized box (but I made this for like 5$) and a quad as I have an A-cab. It's a little rough but if a guy took his time you could make a pretty nice one.

How it fits with the box, and my ugly mug

it's about 9" wide and I have about 7' from the edge of the box to the edge of the tailgate folded down

Quad is a 500cc honda, 83" long. Wheelbase 53" Think I have about 2' from the rear of the tires to the edge of the tailgate.

    Hope all this helps maybe.
