well this dude emailed me back...

    Hello Kevin,
This is Eric Adjip from Jim Norton Toyota. The availability for a Certified 2009 Tacoma Double Cab SR-5 4x4 M/T is very small and they are hard to find in this area. When you look up the NADA you need to look up a Certified Tacoma. The process to make a vehicle certified is very tough. Plus this is a one owner vehicle and has low miles. That is why it is priced the way it is. If you are in the market for a rare vehicle like this, you can call or Email me and I can set you up with a test drive.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Eric "Smiley" Adjip
    Sales Consultant
    (918) 640-9517 - Direct Line
    (866) 710-2925 - Main Line
    (918) 252-1072 - Fax

    and my reply

Well I don’t know who's head your trying to pull the sheets over but its not mine. Even on the Toyota website anyone can build a brand new ZERO mile, TRD off road, double cab, 4x4 for cheaper than that!

That salesmen kills me. Looking for a sucker every minute. I hope some dude doesn't buy this rare gem thinking he got a deal. I like the Auto Zone 4x4 sticker......that must have added to the value.

It must be a "rare" special edition Tacoma that appreciates over time.

I paid $18,500 for my '07. I wonder if I should sell it for $27,000, buy another for around $19,000, drive it a while...let it APPRECIATE...sell it for $28,500...repeat...you get the idea.

I've been doing this with real estate for a little while now...I just need to broaden my portfolio to include Tacomas.

Only the ignorant and illiterate would pay that much for a two year old truck. Since the ignorant are also likley to also have poor credit, they will continue to make money on that Toyota by charging 24% interest on the car loan.

These trucks are like Beanie Babies! They are just going to go up in value! Makes you wonder how we got into this whole mortgage crisis.

There you have it guys a very rare species of Tacoma.

I bet that had a twin supercharger -turbo- twin throttle body spacer with dual ZOMG performance exhaust. :eek:I mean it must generate about 555 raw hp at 1000 rpm. Not to mention it has a built in 4K watt stereo.

Tell the salesman drugs are bad mmmkay?

No answer yet. I wonder if their 'price spinner' was broke that day?
