    good god holy thread revival.

and FWIW 4wd just doubles the distance you have to walk to get help when u get stuck :D

and we cant get out and take pics cuz if we do we get stuck!

as long as you keep your wheels spinning and got some good m/ts as long as the ground is flat you can usually push your way through with 2wd

You can lead a 2wd to mud, but you cant lead it out all the time....

    Mud sucks.

You can't see shit hidden underneath, waiting to tear your truck up. It takes countless washes to get rid of the mud. It's hard on the truck; axle seals, bearings, paint, wheels. If you get stuck it's a pita to get unstuck, gotta get really dirty usually which in turns ends up in the cab, then more cleaning. Mostly it's the cleaning, and the hidden dangers.

I'd imagine 2wd ramming speed only exacerbates this.

I used to love hitting mud holes, now I avoid them whenever possible.

Oh and heres a picture of me being a dumb ass. Had to take off my pants, attach the winch cable and my buddy in the TJ winched me out.

ahahah so i went yesterday as planned... but in the first 5 minutes my buddy in his BRAND NEW (like maybe 250 miles) PRO 4X Frontier got stuck... so i drove to my dads house for the hilift and tow straps i'd forgotten and ended up taking my 85 pickup (affectionately named, Rico) to pull him out... as we were jacking up and digging out his truck, i handed his girlfriend my class ring so i wouldnt mess it up. after i pull him out, i do a victory lap through the mud he just got stuck in... come to find out his girlfriend unknowingly dropped my ring in the mud right before i tore it up in the 4x4... so after i chalk my ring up as gone for good, i return to my dads to get my prerunner... and when i get back i let one of my friends drive... of course he got me pretty stuck... so while the guy with his brand new nissan drives me BACK to my dads to get Rico, my friend who stayed with my truck decided to try and get my truck out by digging out the ruts and spinning the tires untill i got traction, which got me sunk to the axle... so i end up getting another friend of ours to winch me out with his winch which may or may not have been attached to a ford f150...

15 dollars at the diy carwash and the only obvious damage is my back flaps are bent.
