I'm hoping to buy some BBS Rd 17's off an FJ. I've got about 3" of lift in the front. I've already trimmed inner fenders to fit 285/60/18 on Moto Metals. Does anyone know if the offset on the new wheel is going to rub the cab mount or anything else with 285/70/17? If I'm correct it should be taller than my current setup, but a little bit skinnier. Also who's got pics of these on a SWB?

Send an email to BBS customer service. I've dealt with them before and they respond pretty quickly.

I have BBS RD-Truck wheels and run Hankook Dynapro MT 33s. I'm not sure what the offset is but I definetly had to cut my cab mounts to clear. I wanted to keep the caster in spec so I cut the mounts and boxed them. My buddy runs the same setup but moved his caster way forward so it doesnt rub. I prefer to have my truck as close to spec as possible. Cutting the cabmounts was actually a lot easier than I expected and my truck handles great since the alignment is in spec.

Cool, thanks for the info! I really don't wanna cut my cab mount, are you running 285/70/17?

Yes. I ran the exact same Hankook tire in 265/70/17 and didnt need to trim anything or even remove the mudflaps. That's probably the better choice for you if you don't want to trim.

What's your caster set at? Are you on stock UCA's or aftermarket? I might be able to jack my coilovers up a little if it might help. You know Viet right? I was the one asking on Facebook about your wheels haha.

Yeah I know Viet! His truck is bad ass. My caster is 2.6 on both sides. I have Total Chaos UCAs. Lifting the front won't eliminate the rub. As soon as you turn and hit a bump it'll rub with 33s (285/70/17). You have to trim. I never tried to align it with stock UCAs. It would probably be tough to get in spec if you go over 2.5" of lift. I wanted 3" so I sprung for TC UCAs. I think All Pro is running a group buy on theirs right now. Could be an option for you. If you don't wanna trim stick with 265s. Consider new UCAs for sure.

I've got Light racing UCA's. I'm gonna have to look into it a little more, but I really don't want to trim the cab mounts. I might run a spacer in the front to clear the cab mounts if anyone has input? The wheels should be on the way and I don't have cash for the tires until I sell one of my other sets. Here's a pic of the truck with Moto Metal 951's and 285/60/18. Can you guess who took it?

I have a set of Rd's on the way, but if your dad wants some chrome wheels and tires let me know. Maybe we can work out a trade.

I thought I was gonna be able to make the all Florida meet, but I can't get the time off work. I work until 2 that day and I'm not sure I'm up to driving 3 hours. But if you're interested in the wheels...... I've also gotta address a noise in my rear end. I'm pretty sure it's tire chop, but gotta make sure before I do any highway driving.

Anybod have any input on running these wheels with a spacer? 285/70/17 is what I'm looking to run for tire size.

Ok guys I found out these wheels are 17x8 w 4.75" BS +5mm offset. Any input if these will fit with 285/70/17 with or without spacers?
