Hey guys something to watch out for. I took a trip to cabelas in Pa this weekend and I had set the cruise control to around 65MPH. Well on one of the Hills my truck started accelerating up to about 80+MPH. I had no traffic in front of me so I let it go for a lil to see what was going on. No floor mat issue at all. Just a lil quirk in the cruise control system.

Truck just wanted to get there quicker.

Mine will do that sometimes up long hills. It downshifts and just keeps accelerating up to about 80. I usually end up hitting the cancel button because with my luck thats when the boys in blue will be looking.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Best advice is to not use the CC on hills. My 98 taco and 05 tundy both over-accelerate on hills when using the CC, especially when you crest the hill.

One of the things I like about my taco is the cruise control. It dosen't fluctuate more than 2-3 mph even on the steepest of hills. Stays more constant than anything else I have driven, it seems.

Sounds like all you people in central PA are screwed if you can't use CC on hills!
