Stolen tailgate???

Any body in the phoenix area lose a tailgate? I ran across this ad on craigslist and it just seems a little fishy? or could be a good deal. . .

Why, because he's in Peoria? Not sure why you would think that was fishy.

I know, where would he get a cherry tailgate. I can see if it was damaged and he bought a new one, selling the old. Is that a Sockmonkey sticker on that gate?

 

I saw that link yesterday and was going to post it.

Hopefully its not stolen. Keep us updated whoever was going to email the seller.

 

Not to mention it seems as if it has been mostly debadged... Somebody loved that tailgate at some point or another. lol

I think you had better check the guys papers. He may not even be a legal Maybe he just needs money to get back to Mexico

 

My theory: He bought the silver one to paint it white and then found a white one... So he's selling the silver one.

 

Or totaled his silver tacoma , bought it back from insurance and is parting it out.

 

My theory is that he is actually a crack dealer and some crackhead wanted a fix and had no $ so he traded the tailgate from his tacoma for a few rocks. Now crack dealer is trying to sell it on craigslist.
