How does that have anything to do with the wheels?

the steering feels different now i put the x runner rims on from the stocks. When i hit a bump or pot hole feels like it pulls one way, or when i brake hard it feels like it pulls one way.

Did you have a shop put the wheels on?

just trying to figure out whats going on. I wonder if one of your calipers is sticking for some reason. that doesn't explain the bump steer though...

no just when i hit a bump or brake it feels jerky and like the tire is pointing one way fast, but maybe cause the rims are bigger now

the greater unsprung mass of the XR wheels will lead to more bumpsteer. how many miles do you have on your truck? if your front struts are worn out, there will tend to be more bumpsteer (5 lug trucks) due to the pretty crappy tie rod angle, even with stock suspension.

Lower profile and wider tires makes a vechicle follow the road more. But unless you changed the suspension geometry I doubt what you are feeling is actually bump steer.

I'm suspecting this is a tire issue

when i changed out my front springs with XR ones, it wore out my front struts pre-maturely and the bumpsteer was pretty bad, with the difference in suspension geometry minimal, as it only dropped the truck around 1/4" When my stock struts were still good the bumpsteer was negligable, but as they went the bumpsteer worsened. 5 lug trucks stock don't have the nicest tie rod angle.

50K depending on your driving it could be your struts. does your truck bounce more now than it did before? what kinda tires are you running? did they come with the rims? or did u buy mount and balance new ones? if its not balanced properly that could be your problem.

and no they don't make better tie rods.

umm should be new balanced tires. Maybe feels like more bounce now. Also with the bigger rims does it feel like you have a lil play with turning the wheel for you kelson
