sadly, I've only put Husky Liners in it thus far - tend to blow all my cash on my bikes and guitars.
I'm new here, but I've experienced at highway speeds my tacoma tends to drift left and right a bit -- still stays within my lane, but seems like I'm always having to correct it's path........anybody else have this problem?
I've bought the TRD sport package and had dealer add the front skid plate, but I wouldn't think that at 70-80mph the skid plate would generate enough lift to push the truck left/right??
I've always had trouble with turbulence and crosswinds pushing the truck around but always just chalked that up to just being a light weight vehicle with higher ground clearance so there's little downforce at work there right??

Thanks for the welcome, and it's been aligned twice since I bought it and the problems never went away -- still got the factory Dunlops on it though, so possibly poor tire choice?

More caster = less drift & twitchness due to road surface imperfections, grooves & wind.

Believe they're at 32psi? Honestly, have to check -- been a while since I've done that -- but the few times I have checked them, rarely have to add any air pressure.

Thanks man, but would that affect tire longevity at all?

Camber and toe are what wear the tires, caster is more about tuning the way it feels driving down the road. I had my pwr steering rack replaced recently. Before that the caster was set near 3.0 after doing the UCAs to have caster adjustment after doing 2.5 lift. It drove perfect. The Toyota dealer put the caster back to 1.7 when doing the alignment after puttin on the new rack and now it is back on the verge of sucking again. I will deal with it for awhile but will have my regular alignment guy put it back to the 2.5 to 3.0 range when I buy another 1 yr alignment from NTB. I will not buy the lifetime Firestone one so they can practice learning.

Twitchy was how I described my 09 SR5 DC after I got it. Same thing I think, it just felt "light and fluffy" on the highway, not dangerous, almost boat-like floaty (60-70s Caddy feel).

I did the following, not trying to solve this specific problem, but others:

    o Larger tires - from 245/75-16 to 265-70-16 - helped some
o Rear TSB springs - helped some
    o 5100s at .85 lift - helped some
o alignment (specific settings at 2.1/0/0, not stock range...) - helped quite a bit

It still feels a bit light to me, but a combination of the above list and getting used to it, I just don't notice it anymore unless I have a strong crosswind.

If I were to recommend one thing, get an alignment to specific settings.

Pardon the ignorance, what do the 3 numbers represent (2.1,0,0)? I don't know anything about alignment but I just got new tires and now my truck wanders like the OP's truck. I don't want to go into winter like this!

Sweet, thanks for the insight -- mines bone stock currently, but I've got some plans to get a little bigger tires on my factory 17's and maybe some other mods too.

Nice, have to make a note of that........do these settings apply with factory wheels/tires as well?

This is what I set mine to. From my research (search on this site), the 2.1 will increase to 2.4-3.0 as you go with larger and larger tires. Stock sized though was 2.1/0/0.
