Quick question for guys who have an overhead console with outside temperature does the Ultraguage read outside(Ambient) air temperature.

My truck does not have the outside temperature gauge in the overhead console, I was wondering if I purchase the temperature sensor if it runs through the trucks computer and could be picked up by the Ultraguage?

Looks sweet, but I want to wait and see how they perform long term before I pull the trigger. My scanguage is pretty indestructable. Plus the scanguage is proven to last. Where are these made again? Probably China...you get what you pay for in most things. Almost too good to be true.

I believe that the company is based out of Roseville, CA (doesn't mean the gauge isn't produced in China)... And how do we know that we get what we pay for? Maybe the Scangauge was way overpriced to begin with? I mean, they do have the market cornered, as far as most applications are concerned. Maybe this might coax them to bring their prices down a bit?

digging that location as well, didn't think the suction would hold that well to the plastic.

It doesn't by itself. I found a little plastic "plate" (for lack of a better word) that is meant to secure using a sticky pad to your dash, then you are supposed to mount your GPS windshield mount to it. I just stuck it to the inside/bottom of that cubby, can't hardly even see it.

You can, and that was before I dimmed it. It is supposed to auto adjust for ambient light. It may do that, but it isn't very noticable. On that same note, it's easily readable day and night (after I dimmed it down a bit). Also note, it was taken with my iphone in crappy lighting.

It's quite interesting to know all the data that's running through your truck. Also made my foot a little lighter.
