Maybe @ an angle in the bed, I usually drop the tail gate. My bike fits but just sits right on the edge but the tail gate will not close.

Did they have the bike at an angle in the bed? In my opinion, the best way to haul a bike is straight into the bed, chock the front tire and tie it down front and back. A bike that light won't matter if the back end is on the tailgate.

I have a kx250f. I canclose the tail gate on mine when I put my front tire almost in the corner of the box but straight into the end and swing the back tire to the opposite back corner. Works good. once you close the tail gate it helps to hold the bike up.

I can only get my CRF250 in my long bed with the gate closed on an angle (if I care to, I have a ready-ramp/bed extender). I don't think it will do it with the wheel straight either. My 450 I used to have wouldn't do it any which way.

Here is my CRF250r and as you can see, that tailgate aint gona close but I havent tried it at an angle yet. I installed extra d-rings and no issues at all with it being straight like that.

What are the extra D-rings for? Where exactly did you place 'em?

I didnt have the extra d-rings in that picture but I put 4 more in the front and center of the bed where the bed screws bolt into the frame.
