Procomp 6" lift install tips...

haha I did that with mine when I got the front done I was like look how good this half looks

 

I should post a picture with just in front of the front windshield cut off haha it will look kind of real minus all the jack stands, LCAs, struts, and front differential laying on the ground all around it LOL

Yup unfortunetely I can't claim it as mine. It's my co-worker's, who is also my buddy's dad. The two of them built it from the ground up themselves, paint and everything. needless to say, my buddy is making this lift install in his driveway possible, I'm just the financial investor and wrench turner haha

 

and you cant drive on the stockers, the 16" rims will not fit on the larger spindles

take that back i didnt realize you had the sport. your 17" will be fine

 

thanks. ended up figuring that would be the case and went and picked up the wheels and tires to have them in the driveway rather than getting them put on after the fact.

EDIT: no you were right the first time, I don't have the sport... I have the sport NOW, minus the hood scoop and 17" rims (even though they'll now be 18"s with the new ones). I paint matched everything myself, only thing remaining is to find a sport hood.

Thanks, yeah how are your 35"s? rubbing at all or did you have to trim anything? how about power loss?

I'm really happy I went with the 33s, especially after getting them on the back at this point. I think the 6" with 33's is the cleanest look on 2nd gen tacos (I'm not saying that because thats what I'm doing... rather I'm doing that because thats what I think ). don't get me wrong, all the guys trucks with 6" on 35s on here are badass, but I really don't like when pretty much the largest size tire possible is stuffed under whatever lift will fit it. I think going down a size or two on the tires makes it look proportionate and leaves lots of room.

 

mine only rub 4wheeling when i'm articulating while turning, and a little at full turn but i won't go back to 33's after having them. power loss isnt too bad, i can still light em up no problem and cruise at 90 on the freeway

 

right on, doesn't sound nearly as bad as what a lot of the guys go through with 33s on 3" lifts of various types

At the moment .. no

but I think I am going to put AT2s on and then when I can get them, sell the AT2s and get the Grabbers

I can use this to try out the 33s to see how I like the look. If I think they are too small, I can order the Grabbers in 35s

but the 33s on the OPs truck look sweet. I like the little extra fender gap and it will show off the bling Icons up front
