If I get 35" tires, instead of cutting the fenders could I just take them off?

    Would it look bad?

I don't want to cut into the fenders because I MIGHT try to sell again in a couple more years.

I know Kevin(1337Taco) and Tom (MonkeyProof) have done it.. anyone else?

you planning on body mount chopping that? if so, the little trimming on the flares isnt a big deal. i hope you are talking about the flares and not the entire fender

    Yeah hold on.
Yeah I'm going to cut and gusset the cab mounts in the process. I just dont want to have half of the lower fender flare gone if I want to sell it.

I could take them off and if I want to try and sell, just buy new snaps.

That doesn't look very bad at all. If you need to do it then I would.

I dont think so either.... The holes may be annoying at first, but theyre so small it wouldnt bother me, but like a week or so.

As far as the holes go, just grab some spot repair putty, patch em up, sand prime and even use a touch-up pen to fill em in. It might not look awesomely colormatched, but better than bare holes. Idk, just thinking.
For now, take em off and see how you like it

would it be possible to something like the bushwaker flares on to hide the wholes? or do you run into the same problem as the stock ones?

ive also been wanting to take my flares off, but the holes would stick out to much since my truck is white

Another option too... You could always pick up some glassworks to get painted and put on, hold on to your stockers to revert back and sell the glassworks widebody panels later...

Or you could pick up a spare black stock set or something to trim up and keep your color matched ones safely away.

Personally, the holes would kinda bug me... but that's me.

Here is my plan when I decide to go with 35's. The stock flares are going to come off and I am going to roll the fenders up 2 to 3 inches and then white line-x over the holes in place of where the stock fenders were located.
