Hey, I picked up my 2006 tacoma around 6 months ago and have had problems with the rear suspension the entire time. I can't put 300 pounds in the back of it without it bottoming out. I've taken the US issued TSB to my dealer but they've told me that there is no TSB issued in Canada and therefore will not do the work. What have Canadian owners done? Let me know if you've had it completed at a certain shop in town.
    thanks

Alot of people think that but no, Canadian tacomas don't all come with the 4 pack leaf setup. Mine does not , anyone else in Canada and specifically Vancouver dealt with this?

toyota service bulletin i think. its like a problem that they address was from the factory on certain models so they will fix it for free

I have heard of people getting the TSB done in Canada- But I think it is covered only in the first 60K warranty.

Maybe you can get a dealer to meet you halfway regarding the price if it is out of warranty. Also, if you are going to have to pay, you might consider aftermarket springs. Some of the aftermarket ones are much better than stock and don't cost huge dollars. Check the threads in the suspension area.

Re local dealers: I have had bad luck with Pattison- They just play stupid when I bring up TSB work. I drive all the way to Langley Toyota for service work. They at least admit having heard of most TSB issues.

I didn't have the spring tsb done because I added a lift anyways, but I got the tranny tsb done at Destination on Lougheed. The lady was a complete bish and it was difficult getting it done, so I wouldn't recommend that store.

I usually get my oil changes done at Granville Toyota on Fraser st in Vancouver. They seem to be pretty good and friendly. If you are close I would try them. Just tell them that whenever you put a few hundred pounds in the back it bottoms out and you heard there was a 'tsb' that was supposed to fix it.

Unless you are over in mileage, you might be out of luck...

The ' TSB ' 4 leaf pack comes standard on the Canadian trucks , but they didn't start putting the 4 leaf pack in until the 08's I beleive .

OP , if your truck is out of warranty , you are out of luck . I think there are a few Canucks on here that have had it done , I beleive TW member Nad , had his done .

Canadian suspension TSB # is 3055

Hey man, I had the same problem I have an 07 Tacoma doublecab with a shell on it so it would bottom out annoyingly. No one was willing to do the tsb because it was out of warranty. order up Hellwig spring helpers and bolt them in, takes about 10 minutes and they working AWESOME. They'll set you back about 130 bucks. They don't let the truck bottom out, wicked for towing, no more sag and you can stiffen them up as much as you want.

Which hellwigs did you use? 550? and where in canada did you get them, did you get a good deal, compared to bringing them up from the US?
