I've been thinking about doing this too. There is a phone # on the back of the warranty paper work. If you financed your truck the money will go to the finance company. If you paid cash you will get a check.
I paid $1200 for the same warranty as you and only
    because the finance guy
    bought my interest down 1%.
    You should definitely cancel.
Also you can re-buy before the factory waranty is up for less than $1000.

I'd call the dealer that sold it to you and start there. I'm sure they will bitch about it. You can buy an extended warranty on the open market for a lot less than what those bastards charged you. Good luck.

yes you can cancel it. I went to the dealer & had them do the paperwork to make it effective that day. Its like one piece of paper. My truck at the time was with Toyota Financial Services & they did not take it off principal though, their online site show a lump payment then like a 4 month grace period on payments lol.
They (TFS) will not apply it to your principal unless you tell them. I ended up paying off the truck anyways.

Just call the # on the paperwork. They'll tell you the amount of your refund then and there. Also you can probably tell them to apply it to the principal at the same time. On the paper work there is a section that says how to cancel or something like that. The phone # along with other ways to cancel are all listed under that section. I have 2 pages of warranty paperwork and I think the section is on the back of the second page.

I cancelled mine through Toyota. They we're nice enough and sent me a refund check for the full amount of the warranty and even explained that I could purchase it in the future if I change my mind. What they didn't refund was the sales tax I paid on the warranty. I had to go back to the dealer for that. I got such a run around from Sunrise Toyota in Oakdale New York that I just said screw it and let them keep it because I rebought the warranty from another dealer at a much better price.

My suggestion to you is, if you paid a sales tax on the warranty try going through the dealer first he may come back with a counter offer that is reasonable. If not go directly to Toyota. Hope this helps......

Don't get rid of it keep it. I bought my taco last Nov. With 56k on it after about 3k mile i kept rearing noises under the tranny it was my TO baring and they replaced it and the bell housing for no cost to me. that job it self payed for itself and then some. Now today I just picked up my truck and the extended coverage payed for my TSB spring and labor. now remember I have over 64k miles on it. I am glad I bought the extra coverage.
