Not totally accurate. Higher octane will make more power if ign timing is raised to compensate the slower burning fuel. If 87oct ign timing is used with 93oct... you'll actually lose power and mpg. Thus needing a couple different timing maps

    Ouch. :( I was hitting 17's when I had 285/70/17 BFG AT's and the S/C. Now I'm hitting 15-16 with BFG MT's.

It's either your bull bar...or support of Bill Maher for CIC.

    One of the 2. :D

I stand by my statement, all things being equal, using 91 octane in an engine designed 87 octane will not provide any benefit. Otherwise it's just wishful thinking.

In my area the Shell pumps say up to 10% ethanol for 87 octane, and no ethanol for 91 octane. That difference alone is enough to result in better milage with premium fuel.

Actually your post is funnier than anything he has ever said.

He is NOT a great comedian. Not even a good, or mediocre comedian. Robin Williams...Chris Rock...Ron White...Bill Cosby...Larry the Cable Guy...are great comedians.

He is an ass hole, plain and simple. His form of "humor" lacks the funny 99% of the time. He is a hack who has little understanding of the politics he so loves to speak of.

And sorry, but if you believe anything he says...you are drinking the same flavor kool-aide.

I guess so. I like his idea with religion "I don't know", seeing as i have a similar notion with religion as he does.

And we both dislike Palin :D

To me hes alot more logical, and his political jokes/viewpoints makes perfect sense to me.

not to many, love it the way it is
V6 taco and premium gas used always now, maybe it burns cleaner and will help prevent caked on carbon/clogging issues in the future. I've noticed a difference using the prem gas fo sho.
used prem in a 4 cyl truck a long time ago and was told that I burned the valves pre maturely in that engine from using the prem. it ran like shit if I did not use the prem though.

My dads 76 toyota pickup called for 90 octane. I only run 93 before a road trip in my '09 taco 2.7.

What do you guys get for your extra 10-20 cents a gal. Anything concrete or does it just make you feel better ? My 2.7 runs fine on regular, always has. My last 2.7 did to. I tried the high priced spread once. No gain as far as I could tell.
