    I thought they were built in mexico like most if not all other brand trucks were?

    no. previously trucks were built in california and mexico. now they are built in texas and mexico.

    I just bought a 2011 tacoma reg cab 4x4 that identifies San Antonio as the assembly plant.

    yea but we're not :D hahaha i know a few folks from high school that are working there and they are excited about working on the tacoma now. good to see a company investing money into a community the way toyota did with that factory, especially considering it's not even in thier country. i know that it saves them money from import taxes etc. but it still has done loads to prevent San Antonio from largly being affected by the recession.

    Yeaaah ive seen plenty here. All it is is a shiny texas symbol next to the tacoma badge on the doors. And some bigger chrome wheels.
