garage opener

anyone know how to help me it says to open the thing up but it doesnt make any sence the only way the thing will open is with a flat screwdriver now im sure they didnt expect pry this thing off
there has to be another way
theres the temp guage thing so is there a thing to program it too

 

I have the temp gauge/compass on mine and no holder for the garage door opener. Just a flip down holder for glasses.

I could be wrong, but I think you either get the temp gauge/compass OR the garage door opener holder.

The temp gauge/compass will never open your garage door. In place of that they do a spot to stuff the opener with a cover that has buttons to line up with the ones on the opener.

 

Thats right, its either the opener or the temp gauge....

 

altifron,is it possible that you're confusing the button that changes the celsius,farenheight and compass button as a garage opener?....I think the other guys are right,it's either info center or opener.My Canadian spec'd '07 came with info,no opener.

 

The tacoma's don't have homelink (garage door progamming).

I installed a rear-view mirror with homelink buttons in it.

No prob......I was a little surprised they didn't come with a homelink feature myself.
