I am kind of torn as to what to do as both options are very exciting for me... What I have currently is a 2005 DCSB TRD Sport. I found a 2011 Super White DCSB in Coeur d' Alene, ID for 27k. This truck is completely done up too. 3" susp lift, aftermarket wheels/tires, grille (that is gay as shit and would have to be replaced), leather heated interior, manual tranny, etc. Things I plan on doing to my current truck anyway... So do I spring on this truck, or do I just hold out for the 2012s which last I heard is the model year that the new Tacomas are coming out?

I would wait to see the 2012's and if you don't like them.... get a kickin deal on an old 2011 and mod it like you want it.

I would hold out. It's less than a year at this point before they hit the streets, and even less than that before we see what changes are in store.

How does someone buy, and do all those mods to a 2011 and give it up already. Crazy.

I would get the 2011 or wait a few years. I personally wouldn't get the first model year of a new generation of any vehicle. By the second or third year Toyota should have worked out any problems that the 3rd gen Taco may have.

A few examples of this is the head gasket problems on some 96 and early 97 4Runners and the engine mount problem on the 05 Tacos. There may not be many vehicles with a potential problem, but I'd rather play it safe, especially with something so expensive.
