    OP: glad you're okay and sorry you didn't have collision coverage on that '07 truck. Ouch!

    Just to make sure this is a one time lesson, you should try to reconstruct the accident. What went wrong?

    1. Did you hydroplane? Blame: excessive speed, water pooling on roadway, poor tire tread or tire selection.

    2. Did a drive wheel slip on acceleration or a lane change? Blame: RWD driving skills, poor use of throttle

    3. Did you have to make an evasive maneuver? Blame: other idiots, YOUR following distance, your speed.

    IF you figure out why it happened, it probably won't happen again.
