My taco is making a weird sound when I have the truck running for a while a belt/ bearing sound starts. Then when I press the clutch in it goes away for a minute. It only has 40k miles on it... so it shouldn't be my clutch or throwout bearing? Help Please

    Thanks

    Demi

probably your throwout bearing. Honestly I am suprised it made it that far without chriping at you.

If it goes away when you press the clutch its not a belt, it sounds like your TOB. Check out URD or Sumo Auto Parts to get yourself a TSK and fix that shit....It'll just get worse.

Thanks Aaron. Isnt the TOB deep in the tranny? Have you done this fix before?? Is it hard? What is a TSK?

    Thank you

I did the fix to my truck maybe 2 weeks ago. Have to drop the trans...the TOB is what separates the clutch from the flywheel. Its not hard if you have mechanical tendencies. TSK stands for Transmission Sleeve Kit. Costs about 220 bucks.

Damn 220! Is it covered in the power-trans warranty by toyota? I only have 40k miles.

    Thanks
